My Baked Crispy Salmon with Bang Bang Sauce is the perfect combination of bold flavor and easy prep—a dish that feels indulgent but is surprisingly simple to make. The salmon is baked until tender and flaky on the inside, then broiled for a touch of crispiness on the bottom. Baking makes it a healthier alternative to frying while still delivering that satisfying crunch.

What takes this dish to the next level is the bang bang sauce—a creamy, spicy, and slightly sweet condiment made from mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha. Drizzled over the crispy salmon, it adds just the right amount of heat and richness to balance the savory fish. The sauce comes together in seconds and instantly elevates the whole dish, making it taste restaurant-worthy with minimal effort.
This recipe is also incredibly versatile. You can serve the salmon over rice or noodles, tuck it into tacos or lettuce wraps, or pair it with a fresh slaw or roasted vegetables for a more balanced meal. It’s perfect for weeknights when you want something quick, flavorful, and satisfying, and it’s easily adjustable for different spice levels and dietary needs.

What is Bang Bang Sauce?
Bang Bang Sauce is a creamy, sweet, and slightly spicy condiment that adds richness and bold flavor to just about anything – from crispy salmon and shrimp to veggies or wraps. It’s incredibly simple to make, yet delivers a balance of heat, tang, and umami in every bite. Trust me, when you make this you’ll be craving it constantly!
I love to also use Bang Bang Sauce on chicken, shrimp, roasted cauliflower, or tofu. It’s so versatile and good on everything!

Bang Bang Sauce Ingredients:
- Mayonnaise: Creates a smooth, creamy base that brings richness and helps the sauce cling to food.
- Sweet Chili Sauce: Adds sweetness, mild heat, and a hint of tanginess for balance.
- Soy Sauce: Introduces a salty, umami depth that ties all the flavors together.
This quick, three-ingredient sauce is a game-changer – perfect for drizzling, dipping, or tossing!

What Should I Pair With This Dish?
Here are several delicious pairings for my Baked Crispy Salmon with Bang Bang Sauce – starting with my favorite:
- Rice Bowl: My favorite way to serve this dish! The rice soaks up all the bang bang sauce, and I love pairing it with fresh veggies like cucumber and avocado (as in the photos), or adding extras like steamed broccoli, shredded cabbage, or pickled radish for crunch and freshness.
- Tacos: Turn the salmon into a fun fusion taco by tucking it into warm tortillas with shredded cabbage, avocado, and a drizzle of bang bang sauce.
- Slaw or Shredded Cabbage: A light, crunchy slaw (tossed with sesame oil or rice vinegar) complements the rich salmon perfectly.
- Noodles: Serve with cold soba noodles or garlic sesame noodles for an Asian-inspired noodle bowl.
- Lettuce Wraps: Wrap pieces of salmon in butter lettuce with carrots, herbs, and extra sauce for a fresh, low-carb meal.
