Units Scale

Equipment Needed:

  • Wooden skewers for cooking
  • Air fryer

For the Chicken:

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp avocado or olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt (any fat percentage)
  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce (adjust to desired spice preference)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1tbsp mayonnaise (optional, for added creaminess/richness)

Instructions

  1. Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the bang bang sauce ingredients: Greek yogurt, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and mayonnaise (if using) until smooth.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the diced chicken with avocado oil, followed by salt, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and about ⅓ of the prepared bang bang sauce until evenly coated.
  4. Thread the chicken pieces onto skewers.
  5. Air fry at 400°F for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken skewers and air fry for another 6 – 8 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  6. Once cooked, drizzle the remaining bang bang sauce onto the hot chicken or serve it on the side for dipping.
